Setting Up Your Meta Quest

MOONHUB Training can only be used on a VR headset. Before you are able to begin training you will need to set up your headset. Below we have collected useful links & videos from the Meta Quest Support page to help you with this.

Note: If you have already set up your Meta Quest 2, take a look at our solution article on downloading and installing the MOONHUB app.

Quick Reference

Charging your Meta Quest 2

When you first unbox your Meta Quest 2, we recommend plugging it in to charge whilst your headset runs initial software updates.

  1. Plug the charging cable into your Meta Quest headset and a power source
  2. The charging indicator will turn green once it is fully charged

Logging in to the Headsets

Download the Meta Horizon Mobile App and Create your Account

A Meta account is required to use the device and access apps on the app store. Without a Meta account you will not be able to access and download your MOONHUB training. We recommend creating a Meta account specifically for the purpose of headset management with login credentials that can be shared amongst the members of your team who will be responsible for headset management.
The easiest way to manage your account and devices is by downloading the Meta Quest mobile app (available on iOS and Android) - however you can choose to create your Meta account on the web and set up your headsets manually if you do not want to download the app

Create your Meta Account via the Meta Horizon Mobile App

  1. Download the Meta Horizon App
  2. Follow the steps in-app to create your account - we've created a step by step guide for account creation and syncing up headsets within the app here

Create your Meta Account on the Web

  1. Go to https://auth.meta.com/ and click on 'continue with email address'
  2. Make sure your headset is connected to WiFi
  3. Use the credentials you've created to log in to the headset and set up the headset manually
