This article comprises of a visual guide of VR features you will use and interactions you will encounter on a regular basis throughout your training.
VR FEATURES
Pause functionality
During the training, you may need to pause or be interrupted for any reason. To do this, press the B button located on the right controller. This will open a menu with three options: Resume Scenario, Restart Scenario, or Exit Scenario.
Voice commands
Certain scenarios support voice-assisted selection. When this option is available, a purple microphone icon will appear at the bottom of the question card. Select the icon using your controller trigger to activate listening mode. Then, speak your command and wait for it to be transcribed — the system will automatically select the answer based on your voice input..
Scoring
At the end of each scenario, you will be shown the score you achieved based on the training you have just completed. This includes your overall score as well as a breakdown of the different scoring metrics used to calculate it.
Content warnings
Some training scenarios may contain sensitive content or topics that could be triggering or cause stress for certain individuals. A content warning outlining these sensitive topics will appear before the scenario begins, giving you the opportunity to either consent to proceed with the training or return to the menu without continuing further.
Visual and sound effects
Throughout the training scenarios, you may encounter various visual and sound effects designed to enhance the immersiveness of the experience. These may include 3D models and audio elements placed within the scenarios to help simulate real-life incidents.
VR INTERACTIONS
Spot and Jot
During some training scenarios, you’ll be asked to observe the environment carefully to identify key details. These interactions are designed to help you spot important elements—such as safety hazards, suspicious behaviours, or key objects—within the 360° scene. To guide you, the system will provide voiceover instructions and on-screen controller hints. These prompts will tell you where to focus your attention and what to look out for, helping you make the most of the immersive environment and sharpen your observation skills.

Answering questions
Q&A
Learners will be regularly presented with questions which they will need to answer correctly in order to proceed.
The order the answers appear in the headset will change each time someone attempts the scenario.
To select an answer, Learners will need to point with the right hand controller and use the trigger button to select.
Process Panels
Occasionally, Learners will be asked to order information correctly.
They will be presented with a series of panels which they will have to select in the correct order using the right hand controller to point and the trigger button to select.
Object interaction
Occasionally, there will be 3D models which you will need to interact with to progress the scenario.
